Ultimate Toastie
Toastie inspiration? THIS IS the ultimate vegan toastie. Check the recipe and make your own comfort food...but vegan! Do try this at home!

- 2 Violife Original Slices
- 2 Violife Cheddar flavour slices
- 3 slices sourdough bread
- 1-2 tbsps olive oil
- 2 tbsp plant-based butter
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 200 g spinach leaves
- 1 tsp cracked black pepper
- Sweet chili sauce, to serve
- Heat a large griddle pan over medium heat. Add the olive oil and the plant-based butter along with the garlic clove.
- Add the bread slices and grill for 2-4 minutes on each side until nice and golden and then turn down the heat.
- Start assembling your toastie in the pan! Top one slice of bread with the tomato, 2 Violife Cheddar flavour slices and another slice of bread. Continue by adding the spinach and the 2 Violife Original slices. Then top with the last slice of grilled bread.
- Use a spatula to press down on the toastie, so that the slices start to melt. Carefully flip over and press down firmly with a spatula once again.
- When the slices have melted nicely, remove from the pan and serve with sweet chili sauce on the side.
