Savoury Christmas Tree
Savoury Christmas Trees are so cute and fun to make! Everyone will enjoy this delicious vegan appetizer made with Violife Epic and VIOBLOCK. Merry Xmas!

- 200 g Violife Epic Cheddar flavour block, grated
- 8 tbsp VIOBLOCK melted
- 1 vegan pizza dough
- 8 ice cream cones
- 4 tbsp chopped chives
- A handful of pomegranate seeds
- Star-shaped cocktail sticks
- Prepare the cones to shape the dough, by using scissors to trim any rough edges, so that they stand up straight.
- Roll each cone in foil until fully covered. Make sure that the top has a sharp point and tuck the foil underneath to secure. Brush the foiled cones with melted VIOBLOCK.
- Cut your pizza dough into 8 strips. Wind the dough around the foil cone from the base upwards. The strip should be tight around itself but not overlapping.
- When the cone is completely covered roll it firmly with your hand on your working surface to secure. Brush the dough with VIOBLOCK and place standing up on the baking tray. Repeat with the remaining cones.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until golden in a preheated oven at 170°C. Let the cones cool.
- When cool enough to handle, gently remove the foil from inside the cone, carefully cutting away any excess bread from the bottom with a bread knife, so that the trees stand up straight.
- Melt the Violife EPIC Cheddar flavour block in a small pot over medium heat. Dip each tree top into the melted Violife and turn upside down again, allowing it to drip down.
- Sprinkle with chopped chives and pomegranate seeds and decorate with the star shaped cocktail sticks. Enjoy!
