Dakos

Have you ever tried Dakos? Famous Greek traditional salad with round barley rusk, Violife Greek White, black olives and capers. It’s just irresistible!

  • 200 g Violife Greek White block, crumbled
  • 4 tomatoes, grated or diced
  • 1 tsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp basil, finely chopped
  • A bunch of fresh thyme
  • 4 round barley rusk
  • 1 spring onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp capers
  • 2 tbsp black olives, sliced
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  1. In a medium bowl add tomatoes, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, finely chopped basil and thyme and toss to combine. Add the mixture onto the rusks.
  2. Add the finely chopped onion and Violife Greek White crumbles.
  3. Top with capers and olives and drizzle with olive oil to serve.
